Perhaps the first true “cask strength” bourbon I’ve written about here, and certainly one worthy of mentioning to adventurous drinkers.

I’d argue it’s a great whisky, but Springbank 12 is a study in how great whiskies can sometimes be challenging or outright baffling if you don’t know what you’re getting into. I hope you decide to take the plunge!

About as close as a gin distillery can get to the phrase “reinventing the wheel.” Not bad, but I’m not sold on the results of the extra labor (or price).

There's a lot that's very strange about this one from start to finish, although sometimes a little strangeness is just what the doctor ordered. Here the doctor is Indian and the strangeness is peanut.

Be warned: sometimes "craft" products in the booze world are about as similarly uninspiring as cable-knit iPhone caddies, overpriced essential oils, or rocks painted like sleeping cats. Overall Rating: ★☆☆
